

Renovation of Calle Alta, Calaceite, Spain
Renovation of surfaces, services and new urban furniture for a pedestrian street in the old town. More than fifty per cent of the construction materials were recovered from the surroundings and recycled. The largest percentage of the budget was used to employ local craftmans and builders in order to promote local industry while stimulating and renewing cultural practices.

Mapping the Queer City, Oslo, Norway
‘Mapping the Queer City’ is an ongoing research project done by MAAMITO as part of the project ‘Queer City’, developed together with SPEED architects and ROM for kunst- og arkitektur. Through experimental carthography, the project explores the presence and representation of LGBTQI+ people in the city of Oslo and aims to open a discussion on inclusive spatial design practices. The project included a creative workshop on monuments to queer stories with Kleanthis Kyriakou.
